Sexual Health Services
Our Sexual Health Service is a partnership between the Caldecot Centre at King’s College Hospital and CliniQ. We offer appointments for trans and nonbinary people for health services from a team of trans and trans friendly healthcare professionals
We are open every Tuesday from 4:00pm to 7pm; at Caldecot Centre, 15-22 Caldecot Road, London SE5 9RS
What we offer:
STI & HIV Tests
Our STI and HIV testings are done in person at our Tuesday clinic at the Caldecot Centre. You may book an appointment and request one directly, or we will also ask if you would like to take a test at the end of any other in-person appointment with us.
Alternatively, if you need an STI screen and live in London, you can access online testing at: www.camberwell.shl.uk
PrEP & PEP
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) are medicines used to stop the development of a HIV infection.
PrEP is a way of preventing HIV infection by taking a pill, either daily or based around your sexual activity and risk. PrEP is taken regularly by people who don’t have HIV to stay HIV negative. PrEP is very effective but you must take the tablets as directed.
PEP is emergency medicine that may stop you developing an HIV infection if you’ve been exposed to the virus in the last 72 hours. The quicker PEP is started the better, ideally within hours of coming into contact with HIV. The longer the wait, the less chance of it being effective.
You can get PEP from CliniQ on Tuesday; you can also get PEP from any sexual health or GUM clinic, and any A&E department of a hospital.

Contraception
If you need contraception you can access the King’s College Hospital sexual health service here: https://www.kch.nhs.uk/service/a-z/sexual-health
Hepatitis B Tests & Vaccinations
Hepatitis B is a viral infection which is a cause of liver disease, and can be acute or chronic. In adults, it is usually passed on from person to person via condomless penatrative anal or vaginal sex; injecting drugs whilst sharing equipment (e.g., needles, syringes, spoons); or sharing personal care items that may have contacted another person’s blood (e.g., razors, toothbrushes).
Hepatitis B vaccines and tests are available at CliniQ. For more information about Hepatitis B visit www.shl.uk/about-stis/hepatitis-b
HPV Vaccinations
The HPV Vaccine helps protect against human papillomavirus (HPV). This virus can spread via mouth, throat or genitals. You also do not need to have many sexual partners to get HPV. You can get HPV the first time you have sex.
HPV often does not cause any symptoms so many people who have it do not realise it (most people will get some form of HPV in their life). Most HPV infections do not cause any problems and are cleared by your body within 2 years. However, sometimes the virus can cause painless growths or lumps near your genital areas. High-risk HPVs can also cause different cancers.
The vaccine for HPV is available at CliniQ. For more information about the HPV Vaccine visit: www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/hpv-vaccine/
Cervical Screening
Cervical screening (or cervical smear test) is used to check the health of the cervix and prevent cervical cancer. The screening checks a sample of cells from your body for certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV), which can cause cancer. By catching HPV early on, it can help prevent cancer.
Cervical screening checks are available at CliniQ
